The other is Formula D style which involves achieving certain angles and getting as close to certain sections of the track as you can. The closer to the marked point you get, the more points you earn. The drivers will be doing a bit of a freestyle mix of both to entertain you.

History; The Australian Society of Section Car Operators was founded in November 1999, by a group of motor section car owners who were running in South Australia. An incorporated body, ASSCO, was established to hold the accreditation, and in 2000, work commenced on the preparation of a safety management case for the group.
ASSCO was the first not-for-profit ("Heritage") railway to be granted accreditation as a railway operator without owning or managing its own railway line in South Australia. It was also the first heritage operator to start up under the regulatory regime since it was implemented.
ASSCO has operated on railways owned by Genesee and Wyoming Australia Pty Ltd, Pichi Richi Railway, The Australian Electric Transport Museum and Lions Club of YPRail. It has also leased the Kevin Penong line for two weekends. This was the most westerly run it has done.
In line with its current focus on Queensland, ASSCO operates predominantly over the 3'6" gauge of Queensland Rail. It has operated as far north as Cairns, including the Normanton-Croydon Railway.
ASSCO does not carry members of the public. However, members are themselves tourists to the areas they travel, and provide a considerable boost to local economies where they operate.
ASSCO has accessed tracks all over Queensland, with runs in areas such as Toowoomba, Goondiwindi, Dalby, Roma, Charleville, Warwick, Wallangarra, Emerald, Biloela, Mackay, Normanton, Monto, Forsayth, Kingaroy, and the Brisbane Suburban area.

P32. MODULAR TRAIN TABLES - Modular Benchwork
Around 2000, Modular Train Tables began operations, this came about because Peter (owner of Modular Train Tables), had to move a very large train layout. This started the idea there had to be a better way to build train tables, instead of breaking up tables just to move them and on top of this putting back together the same way they were. From all of this many ideas were kicked around, the first design did not live up to expectations, so back to the drawing board. Then we found a solid top had a disadvantage in construction of hills and valleys, plus laying the track on different levels, The solid top made under table wiring hard as well as maintenance to the wiring. All this was solved by using the modular track bed system. This allows better access between tracks as well as under the hills. This also meant no more cutting holes in a solid top to gain access under the scenery. Returning to the Modular Train Tables and Track Bed, the system works particularly well if you live in rented accommodation or if you are moving around the country in the construction industry. The Modular Train Tables arrive at your door unassembled, you only have to bolt the legs and gussets on, join and bolt the tables together, install the track bed and start laying tracks. One very good reason to use Modular Train Tables is because every piece can be reused again and again.
